Hinckley has one of the longest established swimming clubs in the country. Originally formed 1910 as separate Ladies' and Men's clubs, they joined forces in 1978 after moving to the current home at Hinckley Leisure Centre.
The Club has gradually expanded over the years and now has around 500 members. Club nights are Tuesday and Sundays at Hinckley Leisure Centre, with additional sessions at John Cleveland College on Monday and Wednesday.
We compete regularly in the Speedo, Leicester and Nuneaton Diddy Leagues. Open Meets and Trophy Galas are regularly competed in and our over 25's take part in Masters competitions around the country.
We also hold our 'Bear Trophy' time trial competition monthly, which provides an excellent measure of progress for our members.
At the end of each year, our internal Club Championships are held where trophies and medals are awarded to all age groups.
We have strong a association with Herford swimming Club from our German twin town and have annual exchange visits.
